Default Mass Airflow Sensor?

When I'm driving, no matter what gear I'm in, if I slam on it the car over rev's itself and then come back down to normal and continues from there. I figure its prolly my MAFS but just wondering if anyone has experianced this.

Do you have an auto or manual trans? Might have a slip somewhere

I truly doubt it has anything to do with the MAF. As asked above, auto or manual? It sounds more like a tranny issue.

If it's a manual, then it sounds like the clutch. When you say you "slam on it", describe what that is. Do you mean going WOT AFTER the clutch is released? Are you sure you're not feathering the clutch as you "slam" it?

Clutch $1200
MAF $69
Its a burned up clutch.
Try taking off in 4th from a dead stop with normal clutch release action.
If it stalls the engine, its not the clutch.
If it slips and slips and the vehicle does not at least start to go, its the clutch.

Burnt clutch.
It should buck once and stall instantly.
No like it would have stalled.
Parking brake on and try it again.
It should stop the engine instantly
or slip like a bad clutch.
