Default vortech sc emissions

Does anyone have a vortech sc (non intercooled) and have emissions? PA adopted emissions from CA and I'm wondering if my car would pass if I throw this supercharger on it.

Car is a daily driver so I can't use the less than 5000 mile rule to get past emissions.

When did PA go to CA emissions? They would have to grandfather everything prior. It would be best to find out what they check for. My state does an obd and visual check. No tailpipe sniffer on 96 and newer vehicles.
It started in 2006. I've already had it inspected once and they did obd and the sniffer (Im assuming they are supposed to do visual, but it didn't look like they did).

It looks like I'll have to research more.

Thanks!

How are the emissions checked?

I ask because I had a 2005 Mustang GT with a Vortech HO S/C that passed several times without any problems here in Georgia. Here, they hooked their machine up to my computer and let the car run for a few minutes to check for codes...as long as there were none, I passed.

You might talk with a shop that actually does the testing to get their opinion. I'm sure they've seen it all and can tell you what you need to know.

Here they just do OBDII tests and visual inspection. As long as there's no codes and most systems are 'ready', you pass. Ran my vortech like that for 2 years' of inspections, no issues. Did have cats and rear o2 sensors installed and working, too.

I talked to brenspeed and they said there will be no issue with it passing both. The only thing you have to do is make sure you get a tune that includes the rear 02 sensors.

Kit is ordered and will be installed in a couple weeks!
