Default Tuning Question

I did a CAI upgrade (from VMP tuning) about a year ago, and kept my SCT tuner in my car. Unfortunately, the tuner broke. I just installed 4.10 gears and wanted to correct the speedo, so I ordered another SCT tuner. Will I be able to go in and fix the speedo without another custom tune for the CAI?

Thanks.

Unfortunately, I don't think you'll be able to. The way to adjust those options is just before you load the tune on; there is no way (AFAIK) to adjust them without loading the tune immediately thereafter.

If the original tune was emailed to you, you could be in luck. Just install the emailed tune in your new tuner and then follow what hyproman said.

Is there anyway to take the tune I have on there off, and then reload the same tune just changing the speedo settings?

It should save the tune that is in your car right now as the "stock" tune on the programmer... (I think)

call sct or vmp and get a solution from them. you do not want to hook up your new tuner with a non-stock tune already loaded in. it would be a good way to have to buy a new ecu. i would see if there was a way to send your old tuner to sct and find out if they can fix it.

Exactly why I have copies of all my custom tunes and especially my stock tune stored on my PC.
