I have a 07 GT/CS, mods are long tubes, catted x-pipe, and axle back, JLT 110mm CAI, and a SCT tune from Brenspeed. I've only had the Tune installed for about 2 weeks now. The problem I'm having is on initial start up and driving if I take my foot off the gas and coast to a stop at a light there is a 50/50 chance the car will stall. The RPM will flutter from 1250 to 500 all of a sudden and then it dies?? The twist is if I turn off the overdrive, the car won't stall. Anybody had this problem?? If so please let me know what you did to fix it??

Contact Brenspeed. They'll either walk you thru some changes to the tune or, if necessary, modify and e-mail you new tunes (assuming it's tune related and not some other problem).

 

I have an idle surge not quite like yours but similar.Idle surge at start up when the motor is warm. Brent was patient and tried a couple of revisions but it didn't change. Before thinking tune I would be cleaning your MAF, Throttle body, Air cleaner.Get a vacuum check, smoke machine is what I found to be the best.Check the connections on your intake, collapsed hoses,loose wires etc. But that overdrive thing might be tune related. I`m sure a phone call to them will get you on the right track.Unfortunetly I still haven`t found the reason for my surge.Good luck please keep us posted I would be interested in what you find.

 

Daryl06, thanks for the info I'll try that to see if any of that is an issue for me. I called Brenspeed to see if they had any issue's, they said that it wasn't thier tune that there are hundreds of Stangs with the same tune and they had no issue's, so I'm on my own from that stand point. If I have any success I'll repost!!

Yeah I'm ready to go after my injectors. Just used some injector cleaner tonight for starters. If that's not it might have to get some new ones. Sucks having to go down the list but hopefully some one will come up with a solution.
