I was cursing at 95/km (45-50mph) when i noticed a loss of power.. Tried giving the car some gas, and nothing happened.

I took the car out of gear and the rpm's dropped to 0.. the engine was off.

When I tried to start it back up, the engine would turn over but not start. I coasted for approx 15sec, tried again and on the 2nd or 3rd start attempt it started back up and ran fine!

Looking for any idea's or help!

 

It's either fuel, spark or both.

What mods do you have and have you done recently?

 

throwing any codes? that could help point to a cause.

 

Sounds like a tune problem, it happened to me a 3 times within 2 months just out of nowhere all of a sudden she stalled just driving her normal. After I refined tune never happened again and it's been more then 1.5 years.

 

exact thing happened to me. i also have a c&l cai. i reseated the cai at the throttle body and retorqued the clamps, no problems since then.

The dealer said it toss up like 10 codes, some of which didnt make sense.. I called Brenspeed (where I got my tune), they said they never heard of it happening before.

The dealer was stumped, and they are waiting to hear back from a ford engineer....

My only worry is if this thing stalls merging onto 70-80mph traffic....
