Default Can you believe this????

I just got back from spending the weekend in Dallas and while I was there I picked up the Sunday paper... One dealership had 2011 Mustang GT's advertised with $5000 off MSRP and an additional $1000 with FMCC... Advertised saying they had 23 at that discount. I was surprised they were already advertising them that steaply discounted... and get this, the 2010's were only discounted $4000 before FMCC... Strange.

Just thought I would share...

I'll believe it as soon as someone actually gets such a deal.

On Craig's list, I saw a dealer actually advertise a 2011 GT in the high twenties. You just knew that the price was about 5 grand more than that once they got you into the showroom.

If I could afford the monthly payment, I would've tried to get the deal... Maybe someone here knows someone who got the deal? Either way, I thought it was way to soon to be advertising such discounts on the 2011, especially when it is more than the 2010 discount.

Quite a few have posted that their '11 was had for at or below invoice. How does that compare to the approx. $6k off MSRP?

$6k off MSRP would be well, well below invoice. The MSRP on mine was $36,600 and invoice was still in the $34k range.

It's the only positive point of being in a Schitty Economy...
Less demand, less sales, so the dealers can't be much of choosers.
