Default Boost Time

Okay guys I have decided to put a blower on my '10 mustang. I'm going to go with a twin screw I have done some research but want to hear some opinions. Kenne Bell, Roush, Saleen, Whipple? Give me any feedback, stories anything will help. Thanks

add the E-Force to your list.

they are all fine units, you can't go wrong.

they are all going to feel similar driving. my preference is Whipple, i just like the look and the company that stands behind the SC.
the other ones are great too.
Roush would be my 2nd choice.
the KB needs some relocation in the engine.
you going for big boost, or what HP range you aiming for, or ET's at the track?

Use the search function and look at all of the different SCs everyone speaks about. Everyone will reccomend what they have or dream of having. I have had a turbo and now a 2.6 KB. I have driven the Saleen cars and ridden in and rced guys with the Centri blowers. My preference is the twin screw which would limit your choice Saleen, KB, Whipple and E-Force. The Rousch TVS is also supposed to be a good blower, but I have no direct experience with it.

Get your choices narrowed down to a few specific companies and tell us what you plan on doing with the car.

I think he means you have to relocate the air box to the passenger side and cut sheet metal in the process. That's the main reason I was turned off to the KB. I didn't want to have to cut anything.

didn't you have to relocate the coolant tank? and do some work to get the air filter to fit by the radiiator. just small stuff.
what i meant was the install for the KB is a little more difficult vs a Whipple or Saleen.
the KB SC is a great unit, dont get me wrong.

+1 on people going with what they have. Any of the units you mentioned are proven and will work. The liquid cooled KB looks interesting. Something most people don't consider is intercooler efficiency. I'd suggest doing a google search on high iat's or iat2 temps in conjunction with the different blowers.

Ok I'm guilty! I had one and loved it. . . .on the street. The thing about turbos and our cars is that they are alittle more finicky then twin screw blowers.

If I had an auto tranny, I may still have my turbo. But oh well. I can say for sure I am the happiest I ahve ver been with my ride now.
