I don't think I saw it mentioned but I believe the 2011s have better sound deadening in the back and also a nicer looking rear diffuser/valance (although not as good looking as the CS/GT500 IMO). The 2011s also have a different wind deflector underneath the engine in front. The California Special option is available for 2011 and Mykey is an added "feature" too.

I'd agree. The rear was a sticking point for me at first, but I've grown to like it well enough.

I've read about the additional sound deadening material. What's different about the rear valance? I have not read that one before.

I didn't pay much more than that for my '11 GT premium. Actually, when I was buying the '11, the dealer had a leftover loaded '10 GT like yours that they would have given me for $25k.

I don't know if the 10's have this, but I like the way the top of the fenders come to a point along each side of the hood. Reminds me of growing up with all of my dad's cars he had through the years. The Ford LTD he had, had the same sharp lines.

Yeah the sheet metal is identical as far as I know. The 2010 has those same points as you look out over the hood.

I always thought MyKey has been an included feature in 'Stangs even prior to 2010. Did I miss something?

I admit though, my '11 is my very first 'Stang I have ever owned.

Yes but I bought mine last august... at the time it was a great price, especially when I have every option possible except a convertible top. The 5.0 was only a rumor at that point last year.

WOW!
This thread took a wild ride!
I realize this is an older thread but I was researching to confirm the difference in the 2011 front headrests.
I believe they are a completely different design from the 2005-2010 MYs but would love some confirmation!
Also, are the 2012 headrests identical to the 2011?
Because our Wind Deflector Wind Blocker slips over the headrests, this is critical info for near future development, so any help is appreciated.
Thank you!
