Default Exhaust dilema

About a month ago I ordered Magnaflow Tru Catted X Pipe and Pypes Pype Bombs exhaust. I was under the impression that with this setup it would be loud but not deafening loud. Unfortunately that's what seemed to occur so I had to get some Cherry Bomb glass pack resonators installed to quiet it down. However, due to this my exhaust is now once again too quiet for my taste. Do you guys have any suggestions on what I should do to once again increase the volume but not totally destroy my ears? Thanks!

How long are the glasspacks? 12-18" from tip to tip would be the ideal size.

It may get a little louder over time as the packing material inside the glasspacks burn off. Another option would be to go with the stock catted H, no glasspacks and pypebombs.

Just installed the Magnaflow catted tru-x on my 08 Bullitt, also running the Ford Racing Stingers(Borla). This combo is the best of both worlds, nice and mellow at idle and while cruising, but sounds wicked when you stand on it. You can find some clips of this combo on youtube.

Exhausts sucks, it's so hard to find something that will be pleasing to the owner!

Very true. I have changed mine too many times. Everytime I added an engine mod, the volumne and tone got louder and eventually too loud with trumpeting and drone.

Are the maggie cats HF cats or not? Is the exhaust loud enough for you at WOT?

If you plan to add longtubes it will get louder thats for sure.
