Default Header Question

I'm looking to buy a set of shorty headers. I know most will recommend long tubes.
But I'm really only interested in the appearance. Not planning any real engine mods. I show the car a lot and I hate the rusted stock headers.
I've narrowed the choices to FRPP Ceramic shortys or BBK Ceramic shortys.
In you experience or opinion which would be the best choice and why?

Thanks for the help!

If you're buying shorties, just go with whatever's cheapest. There really is no power gain.

If your going with Shorties at least make sure they are equal length headers.

I went with JBA's Shorties myself.

Thanks, anyone know for sure if the FRPP's are equal length?

I had both the BBK's and FFRP's in hand at the same time before installing the BBK's. The flange on The FFRP's was worthlessly thin in comparison. This opens up future warpage issues. FFRP are NOT equal length. They are merely better versions of the factory logs. The upside to FFRP's? You dont have to lift the engine and remove engine mount to install. The factory ones come out without doing so, and the FFRP's go back in without doing so. The BBK's seem to have actually lowered exhaust volume (loudness, not flow) by 1-2 decibles. Also gave it a bit of a pulsing sound while running. Hard to describe in words, but its not a bad thing.

A lot of guys seem to be getting the JBA shorties. They seem to fit well and offer good improvement in exhaust sound based on feedback from forum members as I have been researching this as well. They are equal length and look pretty good which is what you are mainly after.

I am going to get some ceramic JBA shorties in the next little while.

Doesn't matter how they are built they don't help. Ceramic coat your stock cast iron header.

I went with the JBA shorties. There is a discernible difference in SOTP feel to the car. The feel of the car is improved during low-rpm driving, is it overwhelming, not at all. I DD my '05 as a commuter, it still has the 3.55s and the car is a little better in traffic with the JBAs. The car did not realize any substantive increase in MPG.

The butt-dyno is notoriously inaccurate.
