Default 5.4 questions

I'am thinking about doing a 5.4 motor swap in my 2007 gt stang! I've done a lil research online and have found most everybody running into clearance problems with the hood, so my question is if I were to use the Ford GT heads and aftermarket sc would I run into these same issues? Will the navi nvh block even accept the ford GT heads?

I think the Ford GT heads will bolt on to the Navigator mill but it doesn't mean it will work.
I can see intake issues by mixing those parts etc...
Call the tech line at FRPP first thing on Monday, they'll answer those questions better than any of us.

As far as hood clearances, it will give you a good reason to upgrade from the boring stock one.

Mapitts, that's one useless post.
You need to read.
The OP isn't talking about 3 valves engines and nor is he talking about the 4.6 application.

Fine.

Between me and you though, the OP will have a tough time getting concrete answers here.
No one has done anything like it that I know of...
This other site hasn't provided any help to him either:

I am kinda of interested of a possible mix between those two engines as I can get my hands on a Navigator 4V for cheap.
I do have future plans about a 5.4 for my car.
We will see.

No, because I'm not ready yet.
I do have connections in my area with locals that do crazy stuff when it's time to customize engine power plant.
Between them, different Forums and what I know, I'll come up with a decent plan in due time.

Default It can be done. 5.4 DOHC from Navigator into S197

I used mostly OEM parts. Only modified parts was the upper intake and long tube headers for a Shelby (just notch out the bolt holes). Trac control, AC, pwr strg, Cruise control, all working!! ECM from the 3V will run the 5.4 DOHC engine and communicate with IPC, smart box (BCM), etc...see youtube "scott 5.4L DOHC in 2006 mustang".
