Default tune purchase ?

I would like to add long tube headers and O/R x pipe (probabaly Pypes but possibly American Racing or Kooks) to my 2010 gt. I have a JLT CAI and SCT tuner and will be adding steed UDP's.

Can I get a tune to go with the above mods? How much and where?

Thanks!

I would by pass the off road mid pipe, eventually the loud drone gets extremely annoying. As for the tune you can get an email tune from JDM in New Jersey their dyno is booked until October.

You would reccomend a catted x pipe or stay stock?

If you are going long tubes I'd go with a high flow catted x-pipe.

If you are doing this for power and not sound I would
suggest getting gears FIRST. Get you a set of Ford Racing 4.10 gears and a full install kit.
Gears will really wake up your car as far as UMPHH and that "throw you in your seat" feel.
It will do doubt set you apart from the stock Mustangs out there.
Without the full install kit and if you get a regular install kit you risk running into problems.
Also find a REPUTABLE shop that is experienced in gearing THESE MUSTANGS.
The full price of everything including install will be about 500-600 bucks.
I would do this before the exhaust though if doing it for increased performance.

If you are wanting some more N/A power I'd also think about camming your GT.

The sound of cams is just SWEET and so is the nice shake of the motor.
NSR Cams such as the Hot Rods or Detroit rockers, long tube, and a catted-x with a tune can net you 40RWHP while at the same time have your car sounding and shaking like one BAD *** machine my friend!

Count on spending about 3k with this setup though or a bit more with everything I mentioned including the gears.
Id get it all at once IF YOU CAN to cut down on instal price and not having to pay for multiple installations.
It is a sweet setup though and will make for a good powered 4.6 if you do not want to mess with the cost of a Supercharger and don't have the money
to back up the risks that can be involved with owning a aftermarket supercharger.

Not to knock the aftermarket superchargers at ALL. There are some awesome setups and that is the best way to
get BIG power, that and a turbo setup of course. I'm speaking of forced induction as a whole here.
You just have to have the money to pay to play.

I agree that going catless is going to increase the noise. my OR/H is kinda loud. with the stock mufflers the car sounded mean. now that I have the FRPP Stingers it's just ridiculous.
but like I said, you can run stock mufflers with that setup and it sounds very nice. the cats being gone opens up the noise and gives things a nice rumble
he could do it for alot cheaper if he did the work himself. Pypes headers and cams from brenspeed as a package.

Cam - $800
Pypes LT - $500
Pypes OR/X - $185
Tuning - $75

call brenspeed up. They'll sell you everything you need and you see a nice gain like Blacksmoke was talking about

Blacksmoke:
$ is always an obstacle...I like the oldschool rumble of an N/A car...car is mostly street driven, show car with an occasional trip to the drag strip and road course. Strictly a weekend warrior!

I have:
3.73 gears
JLT CAI
SCT TUner
Steeda UDP's

Considering:
750$ Brenspeed detroit rocker cams
680$ Pypes LT headers and OR/X (I'll look for a catted pipe or stay stock)
70$ motion delete plugs
75$ brenspeed tune

???'s: I will research this site but ....
1. Pypes vs American racing long tubes.......is there a big power/sound/reliability difference for teh 700$ price dif?

2. Is there a power dif between detroit rocker cams and a stage 3 comp cam with all the valve line change?
I'm trying to talk myself out of going for a full out N/A car...(Port and polilsh, stage 3 cams, throttle body, ford racing intake manifold, dyno tune and 380+ hp) vs above mods which I would hope put me in the 330 - 350hp range.

Pypes are good esp with the sensors locations hardly change. I have a set on my 06 GT and Brenspeed dyno tuned it for me. Couldn't be happier with it.
