Vortech Supercharger V3 Brenspeed VS stage 1 KB
Hey Mustang forums,
I am trying to decide what route to go with for a super charger. I think I have it narrowed down to the Vortech Supercharger V3 Brenspeed http://www.brenspeed.com/v3vortech.html or the KB stage 1 http://kennebell.net/KBWebsite/SC_pg...%285-10%29.htm
My ultimate goal for my stang is to hit the 600 HP mark. Since you have to upgrade alot of components to make it past the 450-500 mark without leaving chunks of your car on the track I am looking to hit the 450-500 mark now and upgrade to the 600 mark later.
I can't decide on which sc would cater better to that plan though. From what ive read the Vortech is 3800 for the 450 mark, then would require about 2500 in upgrades to hit the 600 mark, just in terms of making the power.
The KB is 5800 up front for 500, but only requires a pulley upgrade to hit the 600 mark.
Thoughts?
Also in terms of supporting the 600 in a safe manner, double check my list and make sure I didn't miss anything.
Forged crank, pistons, rods. New trans, new drive shaft. Fuel system. New brakes(lol). Maybe some suspension upgrades? If so im not sure which ones though.
Any help or advice somewhat outside of this scope is welcome as well.

Personally, I love the midsize centrifugal for a street car. But, those roots style blowers move a ton of air. The newer TVS style blowers are making tons of power on the GT500 models without exceptionally high boost levels. Between those two choices, for a custom build, I'd have to go with the KB supercharger.

It doesnt especially matter to me weather its TS or centri, I know ts is more efficient but they both get the same end result.

I'm about $300 away from being able to order the Brenspeed kit myself.
I've looked at many kits, roots/centri and for the best-bang-for-buck the Brenspeed kit gets my vote. I would love a roots blower but I think I'll be just has happy with the Brenspeed kit.

do you have a manual or an auto?
the V3 is gonna feel like a big turbo, and the KB is gonna be instant boost with an manual trans.
I really liked my V3 on my 08 GT, even if it was very Jeckell and Hyde daily driving. It's a MASSIVE amount of power over stock or bolt on mods, so you'll be happy lol

if you're dropping $5800 on a kenne bell, you could probably find a deal on a whipple that comes with a gt500 fuel pump. Between kenne bell and whipple, id give whipple the nod simply for the fuel system (cobra fuel pump vs. kb boost a pump). This is coming from someone who bought a kenne bell and used it to blow up his engine. haha. In a perfect world, with a forged motor and upgraded fuel system, the kB will take you as far as you want to go. 600 hp easy. Although vortech claims high horsepower, I hear they have trouble pushing past 550-600 rwhp. My two cents, Twin Screw all day long. If you go centri, id go with procharger. These 3 make insane power. How are the carb laws in ohio? Twin turbo is probably the easiest way to get high hp; but illegal in most states. anyway goodluck!

ive been debating on the kb vs. whipple for awhile now on my car but kb has a very convencing article http://www.kennebell.net/techinfo/fo...gtTechTips.pdf
they claim there boost a pump is good till over 600hp and it increases your life of your factory or aftermarket fuel pump
