The total cost of the installation was $476. The first thing I noticed was how great the Hearst shifter felt. No more sloppy linkage! Today my wife and I took the car for a 150 mile trip to Evansville Indiana to have lunch and see a movie. The car feels great at any speed. The trip was mostly 60 and 70 MPH roads. The car seems to pull harder in every gear. I find myself not downshifting as much because of the gears. At 50 MPH in 5th gear I was able to pass other cars without downshifting. My car was fun to drive before but now it is a real blast! The car only has 14,000 miles on it after 3 years.
What kind of hit did your fuel economy get?

I just bought an '09 GT vert, and am thinking of doing pretty much all the same mods you're talking about. I'd love some more performance but REFUSE to if fuel economy takes too big a hit.
