Default New O/R H installed. Now I'm a loud trumpet. Help!

08 GT. Just installed a Summit Racing O/R H in front of Cherry Bomb Extreme axelbacks. Idle and revving sound unbelievable. The problem? At WOT and at certain spots in the lower gears, My car makes a sound that would confuse little old blue haired ladies that the apocalypse is upon us. The trumpeting is that bad. This morning, I caught 4th gear @ 2.5K and all I could hear has high pitched trumpeting as I got in the throttle. :/

So, what are my options? I really don't want to take the midpipe back off and return to the (now tame) sounding stock H. Is resonators an option? A local guy told me that my problem was in the mufflers. He said there isnt enough baffling in these mufflers to direct the sound causing it to just bounce around in there.

Here are my current mufflers (http://forums.themustangsource.com/f...-backs-487413/)

Any recommendations? Do I just get used to the trumpets or do I look into either resonators or new axelbacks?

It would be cool if they made something that muffled the sound.

Just get some takeoff mufflers or put the stock ones back on

Would resonators reduce the volume? I like the volume, I just need to clean up the tone.

got video?

the M80's will make it a little more quiet, and clean up the tone and smooth it out some.
but mostly it will be more quiet in idle and regular driving. at WOT it will still be loud.

I'll try to have some video up later tonight. I just wish I could keep the volume w/o the trumpeting. Why do I feel like the resonators would take me right back down to where I was with cat converters on? Any other mufflers out there that wouldn't trumpet with an O/R H?

KR mufflers would still be loud and have a nice deep tone.
or midmufflers, Roush extreme.

Good thing you didn't buy an X PIPE. M-80 resonators will clean it up and it will sound great.

Also, try OEM mufflers that sounds great as well.
