What to buy?
I am looking for a car that will be beaten at the track (6+ track days a year) and most street driving miles will be to and from, though street manners are important. Prime consideration is handling prowess and brakes. Comparing options with a new GT w/track package and Recaros +upgraded suspension, frame connectors and adjustable panhard bar vs. a used Roush, Saleen or GT500. The 500 seems a bit overpowered for the chassis, at least for road course use but I assume it can be modified for "non-lethal" track performance. I know next to nothing about the GT500 Roush or Saleen re handling/suspension upgrades etc. Racing is all time trial stuff no heads up and just for fun, usually about 2-3hrs track time a day. Need schooling to achieve goal--comfort, track prowess w/ no fade brakes.
Thanks in advance.
