Default 2013 Vortech Gt Dyno

Just a video to show how the Vortech responds on the 2013. The car was tuned on our wonderful 90 octane fuel here in West Texas and on a day when the Density Altitude as almost 5500. Car does go back on December 3rd to see if it cant break 600 with some more tweaking on pump gas and will also get a race gas tune.

Mods at Dyno time are Lethal Performance O/R xpipe, Pypes Pype Bomb Exhaust system. Boss 302 Intake, bbk 85mm tb, Roush cold air kit, and 4.56 gears.

car makes 589hp with a good solid curve. If I can figure out how to post pictures I can get the graph up.

I like the vortech but honestly for us 6 speed guys I see no point in SCing the car unless you're going to foot the bill on a new tranny as well.

Well keep me posted as to how it holds up because I definitely like this SC and it seems a little less on the wallet than others.

Vortech FTW!

Honest questions, though: do you even get traction with those 4.56's? Did you run your 11.7 pass on a tire? What was the trap on that pass?

Well done for only 90 octane fuel and 5500 DA! I can't wait to see how well you do with Race Gas. Were you planning on running unleaded 110 or all our leaded C16?

Good luck with the future hp!

Honestly we are gonna do some testing using torco fuel additive. If I can get that to let me run more timing and say around 630-640 I will only use that. Otherwise c-16. I now have the JLT cold air on the car so i beleive that 600 on the pump gas is going to happen. on anything other than a slick I get no traction including 305/35/18 nitto 555r's. they just spun until I was in 5th. I got an 11.7 when a guy I met at the track let me use his slicks. I only got one run and it was that one. Trap I beleive was 122 but I hit that tach in second and let off in fourth cause the tires started to shutter. I thought it was losing it. Later he told me you just have to power threw the shutter cause his did the same thing. my best trap that night was a 128 with the drag radials.

do you have before and after graphs, or perhaps an overlay graph? n/a vs vortech installed and tuned?

I dont have the n/a graphs on me but I can get them next time I am at the shop. I do know it made 402hp to the ground on a Lund tune using same dyno in vid. The DA the day for the n/a pulls was a good day at 4100.
