Default Stripped drain plug from radiator

So I broke the head off of the nylon drain **** on the radiator. It was cold and it just snapped right off. I'm reasonably sure I can get it out with some effort but I need to know what to put back in.

Anybody had this problem? I was thinking I'd replace it with an aluminum or stainless plug from the hardware store, but until I get it out (provided it comes out in one piece but it WILL come out) I won't know what size and thread I need.

Anybody know? It'd be nice to have a plug ready. I'm not going to screw around with a dealer part or more nylon that will just get brittle.

It's happened before.

I'm not sure the thread size, but you are probably better off replacing it with the same part. Apparently autozone sells them.

Yeah, Autozone has the same thing that O'Reilley's had.

That looks nothing like what I have on my car. Black plastic versus the white-ish nylon nut/hex hole plug.

Has anyone has experience with this part? I'll probably be doing this day after tomorrow. If no one else has then I'll give it a shot and see what I come up with.
