Default GT exhaust mods

i've decided im going to get a manual GT. afterwards i am looking to add some extra power. Right now im leaning towards these mods:

1.BOSS 302 Intake Manifold
2. Catted X Pipe (keep it legal)
3. Exhaust (borla or magnaflow)
4.Cold Air Intake

do you think this would be a good setup? or would you go with full length headers with a shorty x-pipe. I care mostly about power and i want a deep growl note but i don't want it extremely loud where i wake up the neighbors or cant hear my music.

also would be putting in the 4.10 gears on a manual help?
any suggestions? any other mods i should consider?

i think you have a good mix. The cats will keep it a little softer and still sound good

Check youtube with headphones for exhaust tones. My buddy has a Corsa exhaust in his Boss and its freaking amazing. Best tone ever. The new fiveOh sounds so good compared to the old 4.6 Do lots of research before you buy anything, then you know you have made the proper choice and dont waste your cash. I would call brenspeed about a tune, those guys are the experts IMO.

it might behoove you to look at an entire exhaust system.. since you're already replacing 1/2 of it.. add some headers and mid pipe and it's complete. Borla, kooks, bbk, magnaflow, pypes, etc all make very comparable systems in so far as performance goes.. They all have their signature "tones".. I agree with what was said.. find sound files of them all and listen to what sounds best to you and go from there.. you can mix and match.. but beware.. a set of kooks headers, with BBK x pipe, magnaflow exhaust.. etc .. may not directly go together and require custom tweaking to fitment.

Also.. if you're replacing the intake manifold.. you want a tune for sure. and with adding a CAI.. you may as well replace the Throttle body.

These mods together.. will give you a great breathing GT. in and out.

running 4.10 rears will increase your acceleration at the cost of top end speed. it'll be punchier. You'll have to shift faster. I've got 4.10s in mine.. and still average about 20mpg on the highway.. crusing rpms 2500 or so@70.. once I get my t-56 I'll be stepping up to 4.30, maybe 4.56.
