Angry Need help please!!!

I have a 05 GT. I pulled the coil packs put in the accel coils. Then put in a airaid cai. The cai required a tune so I have the bama intune. Put the tune in started the car ran fine for a min then started popping and stalled out. Put the stock coils in and still doing it won't stay running. Took the tune out and still nothing. Car will not stay running. Any help would be great.

Yikes! Is I assume you aren't throwing any CEL codes? I would probably start by double checking the MAF and TB sensor plugs. Not much else that you would've take loose to install the CAI. Then you might have to call Bama.

I'm hoping you didn't try to clean the maf when you installed the cai, it needs a special cleaner. If you didn't then you probably forgot to plug it in. Other than that just double check all the other plugs.

No codes. Didn't try and clean the throttle body. I've checked all the connections repeatedly.

Hmm.. this sounds odd. We can definitely look into this for you and see if it's related to the tune. I don't think it is but it's a good idea to look into and troubleshoot.

Give the Bama team a call and we'll gladly help you out! Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 9AM-5:30PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764 and they'll get you squared away!

Not sure if the CAI is same as the one Roush uses or like it, but there is a reducer on the inside of the intake just downstream of the intake filter. When I initially installed the one on my car, I left this peace out and the car ran way to lean. It was like a race car. I had to rev it to keep the engine on. Also check your throttle body and make sure its free and clear and that it moves freely when you step on the gas. Another thing, my fiance's mustang was running like that, and I couldn't find what was wrong, I put in some fuel injector cleaner and the problem was gone. When was the last time you changed the fuel filter?

MAF (mass airflow sensor) is not located in/near the throttle body, it's on the other end of your intake. On the stock intake, it's here, which is just after where your cone would be on the Airraid CAI. These MAFs are very delicate, so improper handling/cleaning could definitely ruin your install.

put everything back to stock and see where it goes from there..if all is back to normal add each part 1 by one till you discover what the issue is.

+1 on going back to stock and starting with one thing at a time. these 05 GT cars are worse than 2 yr old picky eaters. since you have a tuner I would suggest going back to stock and clearing codes and KAM. then drive for 20 or so miles then put on the air raid cai and just use the tuner for that. I had troubles with swapping plugs on my 05. I used the E3 plugs and got misfire codes. I then went to the autolite HT1 plugs and got multiple misfires. put the oem motorcraft back in and haven't had any problems. I looked at getting the accel coils that you have and read up on them and decided against it. im thinking that if you put the oem coils back on that your car will run just fine. if you want the coils on your car then I would make sure that it runs good with the cai and tune, then install the coils and clear the KAM with the tuner before starting and go from there. there is also a tsb for our ecm for throwing codes after plug change FYI. good luck

Stick with the stock COP's. We've heard so many horror stories about aftermarket COPs; accel included; that I'm surprised when I hear that someone bought them.
