Default Flywheel

anyone put a lightweight flywheel on? i want to know what to expect. im looking at gettin one out of the moss catalouge. will it make my gearbox grabby? it the performance gain noticable? my car is a daily driver so i want to keep it driveable, i have a really bad 10 miles back and forth to work, nothing but gridlock. and anyone know how much to have it installed, or know of a good company that makes them? any info pro or con would be appreciated. thanks

i could be wrong but wouldn't you also need a new (matched) harmonic balancer if you replace the flywheel? otherwise wouldn't you run the risk of tortional stress to the crank shaft by only swapping out a lighter flywheel?

i bought the fidanza flywheel off ebay for a good price. i just didnt know the clutch was going to cost more than the flywheel. i cant see paying 400 bucks for a clutch. you can get them for any other model for under 200. so i will sit on the flywheel until someone makes a cheaper clutch.

from what i have been told, you can put a new clutch on a old flywheel, but you cant put an old clutch on a new flywheel. the clutch wears a certain way. meaning the clutch will not be flat. i dont know how true it is, but im not willing to gamble 400 bucks for the install to find out. it sucks because i know my clutch is burned up. does anyone else know anything different? does anyone know where to find something like the king cobra clutch for the 05s.

I have had my flywheel on my car for quite some time, and there has been no problem with my car. Other then the fact they dont make a clutch for it yet. Wraps it so my faster with the 4:10s in it.
