Default MGW

Just installed my new MGW shifter in my 2013. I just don't know what to think honestly. Either this is the greatest shifter on the planet and is that much better than the Hurst I took out or the Hurst is the biggest piece of trash ever produced? or is it somewhere in between??
I am just 100% satisfied with the new shifter, no more getting locked out of 2nd gear while running it hard. the gears are spaced evenly and feel consistent. it's like a whole new car.

I scored mine used off my local CL, its a first version iirc. changed the driving experience 100% for the better. other than someday maybe going FI, the MGW is by far the best bolt on mod I can think of.

As opposed to the Mexican trans the last gen Mustang had in it?

The trans issues are not where its made or who made it; why don't we just ease up on the not-so-subtle racism and xenophobia that pollutes good discussion on this topic? The issue, in my humble experience, is QC on outsourced small parts. The MT82 is actually a pretty good gearbox, when you address the shifter problem how the OP did.

That said, I have an auto now, so, I have no skin in the game any more.....

he's talking about the American made shifter only, not the trans. as far as your other opinions, this isn't the place.

Funny how the text got edited after my commentary.

Frankly, it's always the place to call out stuff like that. We can definitely do better in this area, as a group and as individuals.
