Default BBK cermaic headers

Has anyone experienced actual corrosion with these headers, or is it just speculation that they will corrode based on the construction?

I know a few people who have them and the look fine after about 3 years. Maybe in colder climates where they use salt on the roads they might corrode faster. All metal corrodes eventually, even stainless steel.

My JBA's are 409 stainless and ceramic coated, they had rust spots on them after 1 year. Ceramic coating doesn't prevent rust unfortunately.

That's crazy to hear ss headers would corroded so quickly. I'm paranoid now about the BBK so I have to change my plan. Headers are too much of a pain in the *** to do again after a few years.

That's why I'm getting pacesetter headers, sandblasting them and using por-15 exhaust paint inside and out. No point in paying extra for ceramic or stainless on a 10 year old car. If they end up rusting after a few years I'll just buy a new pair.

JBA's are 409 stainless so they get surface rust eventually but that's about it. Really, I painted mine over the ceramic and they have a few small rust spots but overall they still look pretty good. Been on the car almost 4 years.

Mine actually developed more surface rust while the car was sitting in the garage over the winter than they did from driving it.

I'm originally from Pennsylvania and stationed out in Colorado (mind you they don't salt the roads here) but they did in PA. I have yet to see any rust spots pop up on my BBKs yet.
