Looking for resources to aid in troubleshooting high mounted brake light, wiring diagrams, schematic diagrams, known problem areas etc... Any info would be greatly appreciated...
Yep, it's tan/blue stripe. Wrung out the harness from the light connector to the trunk lid connector just inside the trunk near the r/h rear deck speaker. All continuity checks good, no shorts to ground. Looks like it's going to be a power issue somewhere between there and the SBJ. Looks like it may turn into a complete interior removal in order to chase the wires...thanks for the print.
That wire bundle runs down the passenger side of the car, so you won't need to tear things
all apart. The SBJ is over there under the kick panel too.
There is no single fuse for the center brake light. If the tail light brake lights work, then
you can splice into those so that it works. I would check the harness for contact issues
or oxidation. The center brake light is a 194 bulb, that is behind a lens that spreads the
light across the center tail light housing:
THAT is your center brake light, and all it does is shine on the housing from there. There is no bulb inside the center brake housing.
It is under this plastic trim:
Well, I guess you know that..
So, if your tail light brake lights work, then it's the center only circuit, one wire. It can be the harness, or the assembly
is bad. It's odd that only one wire would go bad, when the other brake lights in the tails work just fine. As I said, you
can splice into a tail brake light wire to fix it...
