transmission clunking noise

have a clunking noise when letting out the clutch. gt has 4k miles and i just bought it. have had noisy transmissions before back in the muncy rockcrussher days --normal or am i off to the dealer.

I get it once in a while, but really only when I don't shift well. This is my first manual car so I don't get perfect shidts everytime, but getting there!
If you shifter smoother, I et it will go away. Just my two cents

I took mine in b/c of the noise, especially in 2nd gear. I was use to the smooth and quiet shifting from my RX-8. Ford dealer mechanic said it was normal. To me, sounds like Ford did not put enough insulation under the shifter. Who knows.
