Just upgraded my radar detector from my old Escort 9500ix to a Uniden R3. Big improvement. Much "quieter".

 

 

Love my new R3. Have it mounted on a BlendMount, awesome.

 

 

I've had my 8500 X50 Blue display going on 15 years and still works great!!

 

I still have an 8500 X50, I use it in my wife's '68 Camaro convertible. Yes, it still works OK, but my new Uniden R3 is much better. Much longer range and more programable and much quieter on the road. I also still have an Escort 9500ix which I have in my '85 Mustang. Also works well, but gets a lot more false alerts than the R3.

 

I've just upgraded from the Escort Redline (very sensitive on Ka, but not enough K filtering) to a Uniden R7. Love the directional arrows and in most testing it seems to beat everything but a custom install for 3X the price. Radenso has a new one coming that sounds like it may be a game changer. Not sure when it'll be released.

 

R7 looks very cool. Congrats.
