Front end
Last night I hit a opossum at about 65mph, tore my splitter from my front bumper and did minor damage to the bumper... Anyone know where I can get a decent price for a California Special front bumper and splitter. Also correct me if I'm wrong but can I use the same front end as a boss?
Any front bumper from the same year will bolt on except the GT500 (you would need the headlights and grills to use the GT500 bumper for 05-09 models, not sure on 2010 plus). The Saleen bumper uses a different grill also. Best prices for Ford OEM pieces tend to be from the large ford parts dealers (Silverstate ford, Autonation Ford White Bear Lake), beyond that I believe Late model restoration usually has good pricing... https://lmr.com/item/LRS-20049AR-K/c...mper-kit-05-09
I hit a spare tire in my 05' GT a while back, tore up the lower bumper, broke lower radiator, lost all coolant etc. I looked online and found several "correct carb" rated bumpers. called a few paint shops to see how much it would cost to get painted. none would paint a non Ford OEM bumper, NONE. they all said that over time, no matter what prep was done, the paint wont adhere to the Chinese molded plastic. IMHO, your best bet is to find a good collision place that can "weld" your current bumper back into shape. they use the same plastic compound in rods and heated nitrogen to basically fuse the bumper cover back together, then fill and mold back to spec. then you can search out the splitter and pop it back in after paint. there are also several sites that advertise color matched bumper covers but those are pretty hit and miss as far as ratings go. long answer to your question but fixing your bumper cover is probably the best bet. there is also CL and local picknpulls. good luck
