Steering wheel grinds when turning
 

Does anyone know why there will be grinding noises coming from the steering wheel, my steering wheel grinds when turning and it happens at random points, when it grinds you can also feel it on the gas pedal

it happens when parked and drive

Does the PS pump whine when you turn the steering in either direction? If not, your problem could be a worn steering rack

I hope its not the electric steering rack. It will cost $2,000-$3,000 to replace :(

The rack is something like $1,100, if you can replace it yourself. I think I saw a youtube video on how to replace it yourself :)
