Default Hooker Headers

Hello guys
I have a 05 Mustang GT
I want to install these parts
1- K&N cold air intake
2- BBK 62 mm twin throttle body
3- Hooker LT headers with it's X pipe.
Now , Is these stuff are good in a stock application ? how many hp I will get ?
Do the intake system will fit in the BBK Throttle ? Is the Hooker is a good one ??

i would bag the t/b and get a flash tuner instead. they are worth much more power and drivability. jury is out on the real gains from t/b's plus it doesn't seem like these companies have it figured out yet. i hear alot of problems associated with the aftermarket t/b's. anyway the stock t/b is more than enough for what you are planing right now. the stock twin 56mm is actually big enough to handle about 400hp N/A.
i just put my hooker L/T's on last week....awesome!! but beware of combining with some axle back kits cause it may be too loud. i used the stock h-pipe(deleted converters) and stock mufflers.

I also hear that without a tune, you will not see much out of the CAI, and may even cause the car to run lean (I don't understand why yet, but that is what I have heard.)

By the way Alsebaei, where are you from?

yeah from what i here even the k&n can use a good tune. has something to do with MAF transfer function and air speed.

And I hear something about the new "Spanish Oak" processor. The old mustangs just acknowledged the increase in airflow and adjusted the timing over a few miles of driving with the increase, but this new processor adjusts many more variables and can cause all kinds of problems with the simplest of mods (by throwing the car into "limp home" mode).

As Homer says: "Stupid smart technology!"

I have a k&n w/o a tune (maybe santa will bring me xcal II). I've had a lean air error. Dealer mechanic said he thought air was leaking around couplings but I checked and they seemed fine. I did contact k&n about it and they said to undue the negative battery cable for an hour and then try. I was getting over 20 mpg before i tried the cable. I've had no problems since but my mileage has dropped to 19.5 w/ the same driving habits.

That makes sense. Your engine is compensating for the increase in airflow by pumping more gas into the cylinder. You may get more punch, but you burn more gas.

Could you feel any improvement in the power or throttle response? I know it is hard to "feel" ten HP or so, but sometimes the throttle seems to jump a little easier when not under load.

Small improvement. Definitely looking into a tune.

you will love the tuner. the throttle response and control is awesome. that spanish oak ecm and drive by wire stuff controls how much power is given to the wheels and even with t/c off it will pull back the throttle when it senses wheel spin or something abnormal. this is removed by the tuner and the car performs more like a throttle cable type car.
