Default RE: Best deal on a Saleen S/C

Good deal. Mine just came in today. Ordered it from Haney Motorsports the last week of 2005 for $4699....plus the shipping was FREE. I was gonna wait to order till late January....but it was a really good deal, so I took it. Sure am glad I did. Saleen is sellin the crap outta those things. Figures they'd bump up the price. Another grand is just crazy though.

A couple questions...
1. Where can you buy a change for the pulley in a Saleen?

2.How come the Saleen @ 5psi and intercooled makes less power then the KB @ 5psi non-intercooled... is someone fudging their numbers?

Thanks,

How much power is the KB you're talking about making?

P.S. There aren't any alternate pulleys for the Saleen available for sale yet.......that i know of.

Yes there are and you can get them from JDM Engineering or you can talk to your local shop and they can do a custom pully. The KB kit comes with a better tune then the Saleen but they have had a lot more time to work on it. That is where the main difference in the kits power is comming from, also the Saleen kit is 4-4.5 psi.

No, my saleen sc just came in Thursday. I still have to find an installer, and I'm deciding what route of tuner I will go with (since I don't wanna send Saleen my PCM....and everyone seems to think the Saleen tune is crap). I will probably shelf the charger for now and get some pipes put on first, and possibly a CAI.

KB @ 5psi and no source of cooling puts 401 to the wheels. Sounds like the Saleen will do the same thing, probably better since it has the cooler... just needs a better tune. I think kB says they run 11.5 A/F and 25 degrees of timing. I would think you could get it up to 12 on the A/F.
