Post Auto-X
i have been auto crossing my 05 Gt Convertible since December 05. We race the first weekend of every month.
the first thing you HAVE to do is get a good set of tires, i bought some stock 05, 17x9 bullit type rims on Ebay, and mounted Hankook 245/45/17 tires on them and they hook really great for a 200 treadwear tire. my next(and last)mod is going to be a set of Tokico adjustable struts/shocks
the car is not as good for autocrossing as my 2002 SVT Focus, but it is fun AND i get to drag race it once a month , so in that sense it is more fun to drive then the SVT focus.
PLUS there is the every day thrill and big grin I get when driving with the top down in this great SW Florida weather.

Hey hawgman, I didn't go to Houston. I am at Texas A&M and we own an airport that is huge and is only used by A&M for race testing and such. We have one of the largest runways and we use it for auto-x ing. It is a great course and we usually end up with at least 100 cars or so.
We host the event every month and just had our last one last weekend. I will post our dates and also our video.
People come from all over to run the course and it is different everytime.

For auto-x footage it is towards the middle of the video after drag racing footage.
