I am a bit on edge...I went and purchased a beater this past weekend to use as the most every daily driver so I can take this one out mostly on ideal days.

But still intending to drive it like it was meant to be driven

Ordered a Shadow Black 2017 GT350 yesterday. I got the Electronics package, so it will come with the Recaros. No stripes.

My dealership just got a Red 17 GT350 in yesterday and they actually let me take it for a test drive. Holy smokes is it an Awesome car!! The exhaust was incredible. I could tell right away, it's a pure drivers car.

I paid $4,500 over MSRP. More than I wanted to pay, but at the end of the day, you only live once, so i said F it.

Now the wait begins, but I'm pretty pumped.

I'm mixed on the whole situation of dealers marking up over MSRP. However, at the end of the day $4500 over sticker isn't entirely criminal. The reports of $30K over however are criminal and Ford should be pulling that dealers allotment in my opinion.


For the moment I've cooled off on the GT350R that I wanted. I'm getting a Ducati Hypermotard and some other toys instead. We'll see what happens for 2018.

 

I agree with you. I think its BS too. I had a Viper GTS, a number of Vettes, M3 and a variety of other sweet rides and I have never paid MSRP in my life, let alone over MSRP. But at the end of the day, it is supply/demand and Ford is not going to increase production. Even with the $4,500 over, it's still at least $10k less than a C7 Grand Sport and at least $25k less than a Z06, so it's still a major bargain in my book.
