Default Big Brake kits

im looking at brake kits for my 05, my front wheels are 20 x 8.5. It appears most of the kits need more like a 9-9.5" width. I really want the gt500 kit, but from what ive seen it will only work on a wheel at least 9.5 inches wide. is this correct?

I have the gt500 Brembos behind my 18x9 FR500 wheels. I think it depends more on offset of the wheel and the contour of the back of the spokes than it does on the width of the wheel. I could be wrong though..

I'm pretty sure the GT500 brakes fit with almost all twenty inch wheels. You might want to double check that though.

The wheels will fit as far as clearing the rotors diameter wise with 20 inchers but the shape of the spokes also dictates clearance. The spokes of the wheel need to clear the front of the calipers that is why you really need a brake clearance pattern from the brake company to check clearance. I have the Wilwood brakes and they have one of the smaller footprints, as far as clearance goes but the Brembos require lots of clearance.
