Default Pan Hard Bar

So I lowered my wifes stang with the Rousch Extreme Lowering kit and put an adjustable pan hard bar on. When I removed the "stock" pan hard bar it seemed to be filled with something like sand can anybody tell me why?

Makes no sense, just seems that it adds weight to me??

Yup - same with the OEM PHB I removed from my GT500. Perhaps it helps to reduce noise/vibration.

The stock panhard bar is filled with small lead ***** like ball bearings. There are also rubber plugs on each end on the inside. It is in there to reduce vibrations and road noise from the axle into the car.
