The only time I can see there being a negative is if who ever tuned the car, wrote a bad tune. We have been using SCT for years, use their products on our shop cars, and Jon Lund (who writes tunes for us) also uses SCT. We have had an isolated issue here and there with a programmer, but SCT has a good warranty policy and customer service. I would not hesitate to purchase any of their tuning hardware or software.
