My Mach with a 5spd makes peak power at just under 6100 rpm.As for gears the 5spds do come with 3.55 gears, the autos might have 3.27's like most of ford auto's.Dont quote me,lol.
I hope that's not true for auto's if the realine at 5800rpm, because then it wouldn't never reach it's peak power.

Machs have a nice broad powerband, so the autos are still getting the goods delivered at their redline.

But that slight difference in weight (not sure what it is but it's not a whole heck of a lot) and the smaller amount of time it spends at peak power vs the 5spd explains the difference in e.t. and trap speed.

True. A stock auto will benefit from a dyno tune and can pick up .2-.3 in the 1/4 from one.

Yeah, 104-106 mph is about an avg trap speed for a manual and generally trap higher than both sti/evo's in stock form. With DR's/slicks, a manual mach will pull both off the line, even with AWD..stock tires will not.

Yeah, read that a while back and thats why auto's benefit from a tune...gotta get the shift points andshift rpm's right. The stock converter just kills the auto's et and trap speed and a 3600stall will do wonders for the 4r70w, at least thats what Im putting in very soon.
