mach 1 engine potential ?
What kinda power would you think the mach motor would make with full bolt ones (LTs, exhaust, ....)
Also, what else can be done (heads, intake ect) to squeeze more hpout?
Just looking for opinions.

Stock, they put down 270-280ish rwhp depending on some factors. Reasonably,I think a person could expect310-320 rwhp with bolt-ons and a tune.
In order, I would do the following:
JLT Ram Air Intake (keeps the functionality of the shaker) $200
Kooks long tube headers $600-800 (some say stock manifolds are good to 600 hp, others say L/Ts add 15-20 rwhp and are worth the money. All I know is that Machs like to BREATHE and these help. But they're pricey and HARD to install.)
Prochamber and catback of choice $500
PHP or Roy's intake spacer $100
Throttle body and spacer $300
UDPs are debatable- some say they're a detriment. Jury's out. $150
electric water pump $?
dyno and tune $300-700 depending if you buy and handheld and do it yourself or take it to a shop and have it tuned to a gnat's eyebrow.

H/C/I options are somewhat limited - certainly, there aren't as many options for 4V's like there are for the venerable Windsors (Edelbrock, FRPP, AFR, TFS et al). FRPP puts out an FR500 package, Crower Cams and Comp Cams have some nice cam packages. They're all pretty pricey, too. The bare FRPP heads go for $800 per side. Cam packages alonecan run easily over $1,000-$1,500.
Sean Hyland Motorsports has an FR500 full race prep package for $8,495. For the heads.
For the economy-minded, SHM has Stage 2 4V heads for $2,695 and reground cams for $600 (plus core).
To FoMoCo's credit, it must be mentioned that the 4V heads we're talking about here are generally looked upon as some of the best flowing factory heads ever produced. Maybe that's why Edelbrock et al haven't delved here - source material is just that good. IDK, but I sure wish a guy could go out and pick a set of AFR 4V heads for a grand and strap on 75-100 hp like he could if he had a 5.0 [:@]

I could have sworn that a good amount of people over at mach1registry were closing in or just passing by the 300 mark with simply an intake and exhaust. Maybe the cars like to breath too much lol

Sold my 03 mach 1 a couple months ago, and sold the blower off my gt so im just lookin around at other options. I was leaning toward a KB for my GT but i would be right under 400hp. Why spend almost 6k when i could throw one of these in the gt and still make good power......
who knows, its up in the air still lol
thanks for the info
