Default Mach axle ?

Are the stock axles 28 spline? Or 31 Spline? I Just purchased a 04 torch red manual with 6,000 milesAny tip's or suggestions? Are there any free mods that can be done? I love this thing!

Thanks Ricky

The stock axles are 28 spline unfortunetly, with a 3.55 rear gear ratio. Congrats on the new purchase!!!

28's. They are okay if you dont plan on doing multiple 5K clutch drop's with sticky tires. Some have run theirs on borrowed time doing so, but hey, why fix something before it breaks. If you plan on doing some serious drag racing, upgrading to 31 splines would be beneficial. As far as free mods go, I cant think of any, but changing the stock mid pipe to a 2-1/2" off road x/h pipe will be better. 4:10's and DR's will get you into the 12's for sure, if you can drive.A full exhaust, gears, suspension and DR's wil yield wonders for 4v engines.

If you plan on staying n/a then 4:30's will be awesome with DR's. If you plan on any kind of boost, then 4:10's would be ideal since manual machs have a 6800 rpm redline. Either will do, but for all out n/a performance...full exhaust, 4:30's, stage 2 heads/cams, suspension tweaks, DR's and some induction stuff (tbody, intake/filter combo) along with some good driving will get you into the low 12's or even high 11's with a bit of weight reduction. Good luck in which ever route you choose.
