Default WTB: 04 Mach 1

There were a few 03 and 04 around the SF Bay Area about 3-4 weeks ago on craigslist. Then I came up with the money to pay cash for the car and puff - they were gone somehow... so I am looking for an 04 with less then 18K miles and I am willing to up to $20K cash for a mint one with tasteful mod's.

There's another thread on here going on right now on how much 1 of these would go for, so I know this is a very fair price to pay for a mint one with no financing hassles. I got the cash finally saved up to pull the trigger.

Good luck with finding a Mach 1. There are a lot of fun to drive.

Ya know, I am willing to buy it yet I have not driven one. Go figure... It'd better live up to the reputation.

I had that same problem with Machs disappearing. I was looking for a certain color and trans (gray or black 5spd). I would find them on Autotrader, call the dealer, and get the same response everytime-"Man that thing lasted a week and was sold yesterday." I finally drove 3 hours to get the Red one I have now. It really exceded my expectations. I researched them and test drove a few, but you can't really give a car a proper test drive with the salesman sitting next to you. Anyway, I feel like you'll be pleasantly surprised and won't regret it.
You are in the right ballpark with your price range, I gave $20k for my 2004 5spd with 24k miles on it. Could've gotten a better deal from a private seller, but had a truck (R/T) that I needed to trade in.

i've noticed that not only with the machs, but with any car When I began my search for my sixer that I have now, I SWEAR there weren't any to be found, not even any GT's. When I didn't have the money, they were everywhere I don't know what it is, but I sure hope this doesn't happen come may 1st when i go to look for my mach 1!!
