Default Grind

I notice in the morning or when the car has cooled down, and i start driving. When I put it into second at around 3g-3.5 a get a bit or a grind. I have put the clutch all the way in and it still does it. Am i doing something wrong?
or should i get it check out? Also when I put it into 3rd it feels like a bit of cracking.. I was told that was normal to feel some cracking...

This is a common problem with the 3650 tranny. It tends to happen in cold weather. I talked to tremec and they said that the original spec for tranny fluid was too high. It started at 4 quarts of fluid, but it has been lowered multiple times. I think the spec is 3.17 or 3.07 quarts now. I am not positive because I have it written down at home and I am away on vacation.

Just swap the tranny fluid and use the lower amount and the problem should be fixed.

Yup. You can call Tremec and ask them. I read that it tends to happen to the trannies that are under 40 degrees farenheit.

If you plan on taking it to the dealership so they can do the fluid change for you dont! They'll just rape you on a job you can do in 20 minutes by yourself with simple tools!
