To spin my tires all the way through 1st and some of 2nd. How do I get more traction!? I'll be going at like 3k rpm in 1st, hit it and I just spin shift 2nd and spin more[&:]

 

easy fix would be some kdw 2s they are great street tires, your spinning becauses its a mach and not a 2v i kid

 

Get some better tires, and some control arms. It helped me out a bit.

You got that car from a very nice lady named Judy.

 

I would get nitto 555s. They wear great and have good tread wear (for a drag radila) they will hook nice too, but ther a little week in real bad rain and cold weather. I had the Hankook Ventus V4es for a while and i liked them alot.

 

Dumping more loot on sticky tires and control arms will always do more. Tires have diff feels and grips. Rather than stomping it from the get, learn your tire's tolerance under various rates of gradual load. I've found that trying to perfect this really plants the tires and nets 60' times not far off from drag radials. 2nd gear will always spin some, but if you're not spinning going into the shift you won't get hardly as squirly.

 

cheap fix???? dont floor it in first.but then again every now and then is good to loose control.
