I'm just saying that if one of the cars is owned by a mature older man it would be a plus. I've had plenty of bad experiences from buying from young people and women.

I understand. I am the same way. I am just saying that in the end, it really might not matter. I drive my Mach and get made fun of it for driving like a granny. My Dad drives his GT and drives it like its stolen every day.

Same with taking care of cars. You could be 20 and detail the car everyday and see a 40 year old that doesn't care much at all.

Maybe I am just mature for my age but I work for and value my possessions too much to kill them all the time.

Talk down the 2nd one even lower and spend the money on mods

Take the second one and talk him down another $500!
Or find another mach 1 with a few more miles and use the saved money on mods...

Def buy the cheaper and spend the extra on mods for sure!! With miles that low you have no worries for quite a while[sm=icon_rock.gif]

Lads - thanks for all the help. I settled on Option 1 (mostly because the option 2 guy wouldn't go for 17,500 - he wanted 18,500 so that decided it for me!):

2004 Black 5sp 5,700 miles, warranty till 3/10 with Magnaflow catback. I picked it up o Saturday morning and good god - it is everything I hoped it would be - these cars have some serious *****! Pictures to follow...

It already has a magna flow catback which sounds really nice. I already have an MGW short throw that I am going to pop on the first chance I get - then probably a CAI and and intake spacer

As promised, here are the pics:
