asking for a friend actually whats the difference (engine wise) with the auto and manual machs, is it just cast crank in autos and forged in manuals??

i like slappin my stick around, and it can handle the abuse, but aside for the cast crank in the auto, i believe it shifts at the same points the GT's do

The crank actually has nothing to do with the autos having a lower shift point. Its all in the transmission/torque converter. The stock torque converter starts ballooning at those high rpms.
And the problem with the transmission as explained by Darrin(BC Automotive):
"On your stock transmissions there is a snap ring that holds the intermediate one way clutch in place and this snap ring really sucks for rpm holding capability. You don't know how many transmissions that I see where the main failure started with that snap ring coming off."

yeah the guys still gonna get the auto i think, it was a retarded price like 10k for an auto mach with 52k on it or something close, thats a decent price for an 03 gt let alone a mach.

10k for a mach 3k for a competition c4 another 3 k for a used 2.1 KB and BAM 430rwhp of accuracy and consistent times down the 1320 or i guess 1000 now

and expect to hold back another 4k for a built motor when things go wrong.
