What kind of shot can i do on a stock v8 4 valve without having to do any head work? do i need to do an MSD rev limiter with the kit too? Thanks

I'm no expert, but I have talked to other Mach owners at the track who seemed to know a good amount about our 4v's. They had the same consensus that a 75 shot would be the highest they'd go on a stock motor. Really depends on who you ask. The rev limiter isn't a necessity, just don't get crazy with it. If you want to buy one to be on the safe side, you might want to consider just buying a tuner. It would give you that in addition to other adjustments that might be useful with the juice, such as air/fuel ratio.

you 4v ppl can only handle a 75 shot? that sucks

why is it that a 2v can take a 100 shot untuned then?

I'm pretty sure the max on our cars without a lot of other modification is ~125. Some guys have run 150 countless times, some guys blow their motors the first time it sprays.

75?....125, you can do a 150, but you better pull a **** load of timing.
safe with bolt in and no tuning a 75 is about right
with tuning and all that trash 125 is the best
150 is risky, but it can be done

Phil on the registry ran 150+ shots through his stock motor for seemingly years and hundreds of passed down the strip. You just need to have every single safety feature (FPSS, window switch, WOT switch, heater, transducers, blow down tubes, pressure gauges, purge, etc etc) to make it last forever- and use it intelligently. I prefer NX myself- and ultraflow (aka Ryan) on the registry can get you the hook up on NX stuff as he is a dealer. As stated make sure to get a good safe tune as well!
