Default mach 1 and nitrous

Ok so im commin from a 92 fox to a mach 1. The fox is gettin the 408 stroker dropped in here soon. If the 408 doesnt please me i might be goin with somethin newer. So my question is how well do the mach 1s take nitrous. I see the motors have a fairly high compression so that what im curious about. I know the 5.0s can take a pretty beefy shot without to much worry.

As long as you pull a few degrees of timing, or get it specifically tuned for spray, (I highly reccomend the nitrous tune) its as safe as it is on any vehicle. As you prolly already know, as long as you take the proper precautions, nitrous is relatively safe.

I haven't heard of any Mach owners having issues directly linked to the compression. I know what you're saying about it being less ideal for any type FI though. Probably just makes it harder to tune for.

Definetely. I'd say 375rwhp is lowballing it. Full Bolt-ons, headers, etc, will put a Mach at 300+ rwhp.

About that 408, I don't see it being a let down at all! Can't wait to hear what it does.

IMO if you have a 100 shot, tuning it will just be a waste of your money. You do not need a tune for a 100 shot. Anything over yes then i would recomend a tune.

A medium shot would be a 100 shot. However, you can go bigger. I have seen people with a 185 shot on a stock block. You need to have proper fuel, a really good tune, and propper pressure
