Default prochamber vs hpipe?

Ok, so I'm thinking of changing my stock midpipe in the future. I'm debating between the prochamber, or the H pipe. MRT makes a nice catted h pipe that sounds really good with the bassani catback. I haven't heard any clips of a prochamber with bassani tho. What do you all think?

A buddy has o/r prochamber on his 03. He says it gives a nice deep tone and it's advertised to yield another whopping 1 or 2 hp. But if you ask me my o/r H sounds better and more muscular...more blop, blop, blop. This will be one of those threads that's up in the air with personal opinion. IMO, just go with the one that's cheaper...most likely the H.

I dont know about cheaper The mrt o/r hpipe new is $415 and the catted one is $515 from MRT direct. Prochambers I've found for cheaper than that. I personally like the classic muscle car sound much better than the new crap you hear these days. BUT its hard to get that out of a modular engine.

That MRT would have to be made of gold to cost that much...so I could melt and sell it. Different strokes 4 different folks, but a JBA O/R H for $180 sound like a better bang to me. It ain't stainless and all that, but do my lil method of chrome colored high temp paint and it'll last a look good for a long time. With ya on the classic muscle car sound and how it's hard to achieve with modulars. On average, because of complimenting catback systems, the H will give you more "lope". Seeing that X pipes flow a wee bit better, it's obvious the sound is why people with modular stangs still use H pipes, myself included.

yeah, exactly. I don't want to spend a crap load of money if its not gonna be worth it. I'm more into the sound per say, yeah sure, the increase of hp would be great, but I'm not too concerned with that. I can do some bolt-ons and be good.
Do you have any sound clips of your car?

Well, for both power and sound go no cats...again, IMO. I'm sure youtube or streetfire has some clips. I don't have any. Don't know how but wish I did. All I can say is it sounds good as poop. Yes, poop sounds good.

But isn't the o/r quite a bit louder? Better flow that's true, without the dang cats

The O/R is louder by a significant amount while accel and cruising. At crusing speeds w/ cats road noise muffs out the exhaust note, not w/o cats...any car within a couple cars can hear you atleast a little. Catted pipes are a happy medium I guess you could say...just so dang expensive tho. The flow is best without cats, however when you buy a catted pipe it comes with 2 high-flow cats so it's not too far off. With the female thing, you're prolly one of...only a couple, in this section atleast. I really only pay attention to this Mach forum so I might be missing out on some cuties! Kidding ofcourse.
