Cool Some new mods!!

I've finally started adding to the Mach again. The first thing I did was take off my stock wheels and put some 17x9 gray bullitts on her. I have BF Goodrich Fierce 245's in the front and 275's in the rear. I would like a little wider tire in the front but they'll do for now. That was a craigslist addition cause i'm cheap.

The next thing I put on her was a short throw from the local speed shop Speedtek. It was a display so I got it for $125. I think that's a decent deal. It's a B&M. I didn't look up the price cause I didn't want to know if I got screwed or not. Ha

Tomorrow I get her dyno tuned so I'll finally get to see what exactly she's putting down. I'm hoping in the 280's to 290's. We'll see... I have the K&N FIPK, O/R X, flowmaster cat back, and a canned tune right now.

The last part is my fav. I got FRPP 4.10's in the mail yesterday from American Muscle. Thanks to AMNick I got a descent discount. Do any of you guys know the tq gains from the 4.10's?? I know 03MachMe has them, not sure of anyone else.

I don't have a blower or anything like that to brag about but when I do you guys will know it.

Gears won't add power. They just get you into the power band quicker.

Ok thanks. I was a bit confused, but I know I want them installed. I just wanted to share with someone what I had going on.

Well I just got back from the dyno and i'm really dissapointed. We pulled 4 runs and the max hp i got was 244.07 and the max tq was 268.70. I was really hoping for some higher numbers. We tweaked the timing and fuel ratios a couple times and the numbers stayed pretty close.

As for the diablo we put the factory tune back on and it dropped 6 rwhp to 238 so there are some gains with the diablo tune by itself.

Do these numbers seem really low to anyone? I know that the rear wheel is supposed to be 86% less than the fly so the numbers don't match up. Without any mods i should have been at 260 or so, i think.

The humidity is at 35-40% and temps were in the low 70's. It was done on a dynojet if that makes any difference.

Those numbers are ridiculously low. They should be in like 270s at least stock. With your mods you should be up around 300.

The guy was telling me that's the average numbers he gets with a 4V and my mods. I'm hoping he has a completely conservative dyno. I'm really tempted to make an appointment with another shop.

yeah my 01 GT with over 100k miles posted up numbers better than that. 241whp and 295ft.lbs

and i know my Stock Mach1 is faster than my full bolt on GT was. so those numbers sound way off, also your alt. and temp. could be a factor. but lets hope its just the dyno.

That is VERY low, like 60hp low. I got 268/291 with a k&n filter and the chokemasters weld-ins, this was in 90*+ and 60-70% humidity.

I sure as hell hope it's the dyno. My sister has a stock 99 Gt and when I drive hers it's like driving a scion compared to mine.

My car seems to hold it's own with other cars of the same caliber (Z28 and trans ams). When the guy told me that other 4V's post close to the same numbers I was a little supscious but I didn't argue with him.

I'm going to disregard those numbers and call around and go to another dyno. If they have the same numbers again i'm going to think that something is wrong with my Mach.
