Default Forged Internals?

Alright guys, I'm not sure if this is in the right section or not... I'm debating a Mach or a GT, but I have a few questions...

I heard that the '03/04 Mach 1s have the same motor as the termi, just not supercharged? Is this true? How much power will they handle?

Thanks for any info..

if the machs manual it has a forged crank if its auto it has a cast crank. a termi has mahle forged pistons (alrite but not made out of the best material) and forged h beam rods. machs have powdered rods and hyperutectic pistons. i believe the cams are different too but not 100 percent on that one.

You definitely heard wrong. The poster above is correct, manual car = forged crank, automatic = cast crank and lower redline.

About the only thing the stock Mach 1 motor shares with the Terminators is the heads.

As far as power, the Mach 1 stock block can handle a good amount. But if you're looking for over 500 rwhp, the cracked powder rods and pistons will start looking for a way out!

wasn't your question "which one is better a mach 1 or gt?" well like said before a mach 1 manual is better. handles more power. mach 1 are dohc which means great head flow and very responsive to upgrades. all around great car. idk what the tranny can handle but if you can get your hands on a mach then lucky. for pistons and rod at a good price go to mod max racing(google) and you find all you motor parts in a good price range. good luck and i hope i helped.

Mach is much better then the GT... power limits are the same, but much easier to get there with the mach, and it has a lot more on the tach...

Speaking of which I do have one for sale
