sway bars! for the mach, i figured since im getting some Dunlop Star Specs i might as well get some sway bars to kill some of the body roll out at the autocross, i think next in line will be some control arms. w00t!

Nice. I would see how you car does on those tires before installing the sways. If it understeers then go for a rear sway and if its oversteering do the opposite.

Either way installing them will help but you could help correct the push or back end looseness somewhat.

well i remember last year i had lost of understeer due to my tires, they just didnt grab good enough, that and the body roll was just provoking it. I also wouldnt say the surface we are on is the best, its an old air strip with a lot of uneven surfaces.

The surface we use is an old airfield also. I would wait until you see how the car does on these tires. Tires are the most important part and they could completely change how your car reacts.

i know tires are everything but only more grip will make the body roll worse as i throw the car into turns harder, so the addition of the sway bars will make my car way more competitive, why buy a set of sway bars and not throw them on all at once? i don't get your approach to this stuff, its not like im changing the entire suspension just putting a little stiffer of sway bars on the car to prevent 1 thing, body roll. not like i wont be able to drive the car.

Do whatever you want. I like being able to control whether or not there is oversteer or not. If my car starts pushing hard into corners this season with new tires then I am going for a rear to correct that.

its easy to cause oversteer, its the understeer you should worry about.

Exactly it is the understeer you should worry about. You don't want understeer or oversteer, but if you can control it, oversteer is easier to use to your advantage. I am not talking about creating oversteer with the throttle. I am talking about coming into a corner really hard on the brakes and then taking that corner. The car will push through it.

Do whatever you want. I was just giving my two cents. I would rather have slight oversteer than understeer.
