ipod interface???
Ive got an 04 Mach 1 with the Mach 460 Stereo. Ive looked up ipod interfaces for this stereo and haven't been able to find any compatible with it..
Has anyone heard or have an ipod interface that will work with the Mach 460 stereo system (which is also compatible with the iphone (w/o charging))
Thanks

as of december there wasnt one. there is one for every other car out there, but not that particular head unit. i had to buy an aftermarket and it was a pain to get the harness hooked up and i blew one of the door tweeters. after i figured it all out, it was worth it.

i dont have a diagram. i just bought one of those quick harnesses and i had to wire the blue amp lines into the red power lines on the harness because the amps wouldnt work. that took awhile and a few calls to crutchfield before i finally talked to somebody who knew what the problem was. then i had to dedicate 3 months to setting up the bass, treb, mid range, loudness, subwoofer adjustments, etc. overall it was a pain, but i couldnt live without the ipod and when it was all over, i was satisfied. ttocs in the audio visual forum had some stuff on his car domain page that might help. here is the link.

So you did change the headunit out? What is the brand?
All the most of the 2009 models are starting to work with the iphone.
Stock headunit.... the only interface i have seen and installed makes the factory 6-discs changer not work.... So its ipod/iphone or cd player which one do you want with the factory interface.

Hello. If you want to keep your factory radio, but you want to be able to play your ipod in your mustang with the mach system you have a couple of options. One will charge it (which I know you said you did not want to do, but just throwing both options out there for you) and the other will just play it. Both ways are made by Peripheral Electronics and both come in the same package! The product is called iSimple the model is TranzIt IS77. Here is the link to it: http://www.isimplesolutions.com/CES/TranzIt.asp
If you use the actual Ipod cord it will charge. However, they also give you the options of using an AUX cord for plugging into the headphone jack (which will not charge the ipod) Both options one box. I install these on a daily basis, they work wonders. Especially for those who have factory integrated sound systems and do not want to swap out their headunits.
*Please note that this will not allow you to control the ipod through the radio. You will have to manually operate the Ipod. Just like you would if you were listening with the headphones.

i think it only lets you control an ipod nano with the head unit. other ipods you have to control through the ipod. i think. sorry it took so long to get back. i havent checked this in a while.
